Death Abroad
Where possible, the remains should be consigned to us for collection from the airport of arrival. We will need to know the details of the flight and place of arrival.
Once the remains are with us we will advise the Coroner who will decide whether further enquiries will be necessary before the funeral can take place.
All procedures and documentation for either a burial or cremation will be handled by us and we will keep you informed of progress being made.
It is advisable not to make any arrangements for the funeral until all relevant documents are to hand and clearance has been obtained from the Coroner.
Death in this country and funeral abroad
Through our contacts and agents, we are able to arrange repatriation worldwide, handling all necessary documentation, obtaining clearances and certificates required from the Coroner, Consul or Embassy and following any special procedures,
providing a coffin or casket to the required specification and dealing with every item up to the delivery to the airport.
We will notify the funeral director designated to take charge of the arrangements at the port of arrival.
